HooDoo Mountain has some great fun for the family. As a smaller ski resort, it tends to get less crowds than some of its larger competitors. Rates are lower than many other places and you get less lines and more skiing. One of my favorite things about HooDoo is that there aren't many flat parts on the hill - at some other resorts there were many places I had to shuffle or walk through in order to start going downhill again. The short lift lines and quick rides to the top - make for a full day of skiing that's a real pleasure. The lower prices make HooDoo an excellent choice for groups - and the Autobahn tube runs are accessible for everyone - tubes provided and no special skills needed. Youth groups love McKenzie River Mountain Resort coupled with a day at Mount HooDoo. Affordable & Fun! HooDoo Mountain is approx 45 minutes from McKenzie River Mountain Resort - it is usually an easy drive and uncongested. The drive is beautiful along the Oregon Scenic Byway - Hwy 126. Hwy 126 is a major pass through from Eugene & Salem to Bend - so it does get regular plowing and attention from the Hwy dept. It is still advisable to carry chains with you during the snow months. |
